In October, at the annual College of American Pathologists’ meeting (CAP 15) in Nashville, Dr. Stephen G. Ruby, MD, MBA, FCAP, medical director of 4path Laboratory of Burr Ridge, IL, was awarded the 2015 Distinguished Service Award.
The CAP honored Dr. Ruby with this award for his significant contributions to the practice of pathology through his dedication to the areas of practice leadership and management and his involvement on numerous other CAP committees over the term of his career.
Established in 1965, the CAP Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the practice of pathology and to the College of American Pathologists. The College presents this award when merited, not necessarily on an annual basis. (CAP Award Description)
