KNOWN PROBLEM WITH MICROSOFT 10 AND EDGE: EDGE CANNOT PRINT ANY PDF FILE.
Please be aware that if you are using Windows 10 and the Microsoft Edge Browser for looking up patient reports, there is a KNOWN limitation. PDF files (which is the format that is used for patient reports) can ONLY be VIEWED or DOWNLOADED using MS Edge. There is NO ability to PRINT from the Edge Browser. Please note that this is not an issue with just the 4path laboratory system. This is a known problem that impacts printing of ANY PDF file in Edge.
Here is how to select a patient report: (Click on the “Accession Number” in the far left column)
This is the screen that will appear. Note the small open window which appears when you RIGHT click your mouse.
Only the “SAVE AS” option is available when using MS Edge. In Edge this is your only option.
Access the 4path web site using a different browser. There have been NO known issues using:
- MS Explorer
When you use any of these other browsers, you will be able to print from the screen by using the “print” button present on the top right of the screen.
