Dr. Ruby participant at AHA Roundtable

On November 4, 2015, Dr. Stephen Ruby, Medical Director of 4path, was a participant at a round-table discussion, Hospitals and Health Networks Executive Dialogue, at the American Hospital Association (AHA) on “The Role of the Pathologist in Diagnosis, Quality and Patient Safety”.

The round-table participants were representative of the top hospitals and hospital systems in the Chicagoland area, including Advocate Health System, Northwestern University Health System and Loyola University.  Dr. Ruby was the only non-hospital based pathologist, representing the special needs of the out-patient laboratory environment.

The discussion was moderated by Bob Kehoe, Director of Strategy and Business Development, Health Forum, Chicago, and sponsored by the AHA and the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Proceedings of the half day round-table discussion will be published in the February 2016 issue of Hospitals and Health Networks, the journal of the AHA.
